Errors and exciting talent make for excellent start to Euro 2012
Day
one of Euro 2012 was packed full with entertainment, with Poland throwing away
first half dominance to draw with Greece, and Russia powering past Czech
Republic in
what was a cracking start to Group A, a group which so many predicted to be
boring and lifeless.
Chelsea win the Champions League
Finally,
they’ve done it. A season that looked to be disastrous under Andres Villas-Boas
ends with Chelsea winning the double under Roberto Di Matteo.

On
Sunday evening Manchester City faced Arsenal in a game that, pretty much, could
see their title chances either fade away or give hope of a possible resurgence.

Toronto
Raptors crushed New York Knicks with a terrific performance to bring an end to
their unbeaten record under Mike Woodson.
Seattle Sounders 2 – 0 Houston Dynamo

Seattle
Sounders scored two first half goals to maintain their 100% start to MLS 2012,
condemning Houston to their first loss of the season.

excellent Debatable Decisions – a site dedicated to sifting through the cack to
make sense of the contentious decisions seen in football week in, week out –
have started up a new series which will hopefully be as big a success as the
website already is.
Make the most of the internet as a wannabe journalist
Journalism,
it is widely and correctly believed, is going through major changes. The
digital age is beginning to take hold; social media and the internet is the way
forward.
Student accommodation: make the most of it
As
a first-year university student, I spend a relatively large amount of my time
in my student accommodation, socialising with mates and hurriedly finishing off
assignments the day before the hand-in date.

West Brom win but are struggling under Hodgson
A
late Graham Dorrans strike against Stoke gave West Brom their seventh win of
the season but, while there were positives to draw from the match, Roy Hodgson’s
side are right in the mire that is the Premier League relegation battle.
