Martin Dahlin, the agent of Basel and Sweden star Behrang Safari, has confirmed that his client has attracted interest from Premier League clubs Liverpool, Everton and Fulham.
Dahlin scored four goals for Sweden at the 1994 World Cup in USA and later joined current Reds boss Roy Hodgson at Blackburn Rovers after a brief stint at Italian giants Roma.
Speaking exclusively to Sport.co.uk, Dahlin enthused about Safari’s potential, describing him as a versatile left-sided player who, at the age of 25, already has international and Champions League experience.
He said: “Behrang Safari, has been doing very well and was recently linked with Liverpool, Fulham and Everton.
“He is a 25 year-old left-back and left-winger who has been playing in the Champions League with Basel and has already got 17 caps for Sweden.

Swedish star Behrang Safari could be about to get his dream move to the Premier League with three clubs reportedly interested in the FC Basel left-sided player.
Fulham are reportedly interested in a move for Behrang, who came through the Lunds SK youth system before joining Swedish giants Malmö in 2004, although Merseyside rivals Everton and Liverpool could provide stiff competition for Mark Hughes' side in acquiring the 25-year-old's signature.
Having only recently brought Paul Konchesky to Liverpool to fill the left-back position a move for Behrang would be a strange move from manager Roy Hodgson, although the former West Ham and Fulham player repeatedly comes in for criticism from the Kop for his performances in the red shirt.
Safari, who won the Allsvenskan (the top tier of Swedish football) in his first season with Malmö, has been given huge praise by his agent recently and it looks as though Martin Dahlin is starting to push for that elusive move to a Premier League.
The player himself is hardly short of confidence, with Safari telling Iran Sports Press three years ago that he could become a "world class" player, going on to say that, while he can play down the left hand side in either an attacking or defensive position, his favoured position is left-back.
Safari is originally born in Iran having moved to Sweden as a two-year-old, and the 6ft tall defender chose to play for his adopted nation having been given his first call-up in January 2008. A series of fine Champions League performances means that interest has grown in Safari, with his agent now putting more pressure on clubs to declare their interest.
A move to Everton would probably see the talented Safari used more as a back-up for Leighton Baines, who has been in fine form this season, and so it is Fulham who look the most likely English club to snap Safari up after glowing references from their chef scouts, although German giants Werder Bremen are also reportedly interested.
The player is believed to be valued at around £3 million and, with the transfer window just around the corner, a bidding war could be set to ensue for Sweden's next top defender.
